Biography

Dr. Richard Walker is an orthopedic surgeon practicing in South West Sydney. He has a Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery from The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He was further trained in hip and knee replacement and trauma surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada. He then returned to Sydney and continues to have a special interest in hip and knee replacement surgery as well as complex trauma. His practice covers a range of operations from primary joint replacement surgery and minor trauma, to arthroscopic surgery of the knee and to revision joint replacement surgery and complex trauma reconstruction including the use of computer-aided limb reconstruction using the Taylor Spatial Frame. Dr. Walker has a keen interest in evidence-based medicine and patient-based outcome measures.
