Biography
Dr. Joel Williams is an orthopedic surgeon in Chicago, Illinois who specializes in hip and trauma surgery. He is specially trained in and has a passion for complex fracture care, post-traumatic deformity, hip, and pelvis surgery. Dr. Williams' surgical training began at the University of California, Davis Medical Center, where he completed his residency in orthopedic surgery. After residency, Dr. Williams stayed at UC Davis for his orthopedic trauma fellowship and focused on caring for acute fractures, multiply-injured patients (polytrauma), fractures that do not heal (nonunion) or heal incorrectly (malunion). After completing his trauma fellowship, he went to Seattle, WA for a second fellowship in hip preservation and reconstruction. Procedures performed by Dr. Williams include Periacetabular Osteotomy, Hip FAI Surgery, Core Decompression, Surgical Hip Dislocation, and Fracture Surgery.
