Mr Ravi Pandit is a senior reconstructive Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery of the Shoulder, Elbow and Wrist and Hand. His initial surgical training was undertaken in Bombay, India and he subsequently undertook higher surgical training in the UK and Canada. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is on the GMC Specialist Register.
Mr Pandit’s practice consists of surgery for fractures, dislocations, sports injuries and arthritis of the shoulder and elbow. He uses arthroscopic surgical techniques for repair of rotator cuff tears, recurrent shoulder dislocations, calcific tendinitis and other shoulder conditions. He is also experienced in arthroscopic elbow surgery and treats chronic tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow conditions. In addition, he does shoulder and elbow joint replacements.
Mr Pandit completed a senior registrar fellowship at the St Andrew’s Centre, Broomfield and Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in hand and wrist surgery. He does arthroscopic ligament repairs (TFCC) in the wrist and also treats wrist arthritis. He undertakes joint replacements for arthritis in the hands as well. He also treats Dupuytren’s contractures, trigger fingers, DeQuervain’s, carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndrome.
Mr Pandit did a fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery at the St Joseph’s Health Centre in London, Ontario. He does primary hip and knee replacement surgery including arthroscopic knee surgery.
