Orthopaedic Training


Dr Gordiev graduated in Medicine from the University of Sydney (MBBS Hons I 1993). At Graduation, she was awarded the John Loewenthal Prize for Surgery at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

In 2003 Dr Gordiev completed her Orthopaedic specialisation (FRACS), undertaken through the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) training program in Sydney and Canberra.

Sub Specialisation


Dr Gordiev undertook a Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, USA in 2003-4.

Dr Gordiev's principal area of interest is Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgery. This includes:

  • Shoulder Replacement
  • Arthroscopic and Open treatment of Shoulder instability
  • Labral injuries
  • Rotator cuff tears
  • Treatment of Elbow, Wrist and Hand Disorders
