Erik D.Peterson, MD

Dr. Erik D. Peterson is a fellowship-trained arthroscopic and sports medicine surgeon practicing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He routinely treats injuries of the shoulder, hip, and knee with minimally-invasive arthroscopic techniques that result in less postoperative pain and quicker recovery. He specializes in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, ACL surgery, and cartilage restoration techniques. His extensive arthroscopic experience allows rapid recovery for the elite athlete or weekend warrior. Dr. Peterson also has trained extensively in joint replacement surgery of the hip, knee, shoulder, and elbow. While at the Mayo Clinic he was trained in complex joint reconstructive procedures as well as exposed to the latest techniques. He has a broad general orthopedic practice that also encompasses operative and non-operative fracture care.
