We treat you with care
Illinois Sports Medicine is internationally recognized for providing cutting edge orthopaedic specialty treatment, while retaining a “small clinic” personalized environment.
Our office and professional staff strive to treat our patients as we would like to be treated: with courtesy, respect and compassion.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) is an exciting new treatment for arthritic joints. Blood is drawn from a patient and processed to concentrate the platelets and other healing factors. This concentrated PRP is injected under US guidance into the affected joint. 75% of eligible arthritis patients are successfully treated with PRP injection instead of joint replacement surgery.
