S. Tanweer Ashraf

Mr. S. Tanweer Ashraf is a Consultant Knee Surgeon in Birmingham, UK. He undertakes partial knee replacement, total knee replacement, revision knee replacement, partial knee cap replacement, and replacement of damaged or worn-out cartilage with laboratory-grown cartilage cells. He is especially interested in problems relating to the kneecap (patella). Mr. Ashraf underwent fellowship training in knee surgery from the Avon Orthopaedic Centre in Bristol which specializes in partial knee replacement, patella problems, and cartilage and ligament reconstruction. He then gained experience as Senior Trauma Fellow at Queens Medical Centre where he dealt with injuries to the knee as well as other types of sports injuries. While training, he was awarded visiting fellowships to different centers in the USA and Germany, which specialize in cartilage and ligament knee reconstruction surgery.
